SCCPSS Choice Programs offer specialized educational pathways at designated schools throughout Chatham County. Families can explore programs that align with a student’s interests, from STEM and the arts to other focused areas of study.

Choice is an application process for specific programs. Providing transportation alone does not guarantee admission to a school outside your attendance zone.

Explore Choice Programs

  1. Explore available programs

Review the district’s program options, grade levels, eligibility criteria and any additional requirements.

  2. Apply through SCCPSS

Follow the district’s application instructions and current deadlines. Some programs have academic requirements or auditions.

  3. Understand the lottery

Eligible applicants enter the district’s lottery process when demand exceeds available seats. Placement depends on eligibility and availability and is not guaranteed.

Plan your school-day transportation.

SCCPSS currently does not provide transportation for Choice Program students. Families are responsible for transportation to and from the selected school. Review the district’s current transportation policy before applying.
